My wife and I only argue about money. Apart from that we are very happy. We both work full time but at the end of the month its a struggle to make ends meet. Paying off the mortgage solves everything. Any ideas on making extra cash to pay off that pesky loan?
Conclusion: Money brings happiness. 70k would end my financial difficulties. How much would you need?
I would look first at budgeting the money you already make. Do you take all your fixed expenses (power, phone, rego, insurance, ect), add it up to a yearly amount, and get that taken out of your salary every fortnight to a separate account for bills? Do you pay yourself a set amount each week and keep to it? Have you chopped up all cards that allow you to impulse buy?

Yup same problem here, except, we wish we could afford to buy our house...but the rent bleeds us dry every month and not much left to live off....It's crap....about 鎷?00,000 would be nice...buy our house, pay all our bills....I would be very happy!

Grow some weed and sell it!
I'll make sure that by the time you'r selling, it will be legal, thanks to me... so when I come over, u better have a complementary banky ready for me ;)

Money, in and of itself, doesn't bring happiness. But, debt always brings misery.

I would strongly suggest selling the house. I am considering doing just that and for the same reasons. I thought the house would make us happy and for a while it has made us happy.
However, there is nothing sexy or fun about being broke!
Ultimately, it comes down to do I want the house or do I want me and my spouse to be happy and secure? When we think about it and calm ly discuss it, we come to the conclusion, we did not choose a home, we chose one another. I don't think there's anything wrong with going back for a year or two, after selling at a profit and reevaluating the situation. .
Remember, you reserve the right to reconsider your options.
Otherwise, someone might consider a second job. Look for work at home options. You don't want to take time away from your relationship to pay for a house.
All the best.

Money , only pays some of the Bills, the Misery it brings along, is never worth it. True Happiness, doesn't come,
in the form of a Fat Check. Instead, figure out, what you
can cut out on expenses. When both concentrate on saving
money, you soon figure out, how to make it multiply.

Money does NOT bring happiness. Not having money usually brings misery. Lots of people have trouble paying their bills and laugh about it. Lots of people are stinking rich and are also miserable. Why not start a fun part-time business and use the extra money to knock down your mortgage? If the business doesn't make any money so what? Or get part-time jobs for a while. If it gets to be too much you can quit. I've seen people work like mad for a few years, use the money wisely and then live a lot better than they would have. Lots of possible solutions. Bear in mind that you only THINK having a paid for house would be heavenly. Nothing ever lives up to expectations.

I would be happy with enough money to buy a house and a better car and maybe a luxury holiday somewhere!
For extra cash why not see if you can sell anything on ebay? People make money on there all the time.
Alternatively you can put a pound a week on the lottery, cross your fingers and hope for the best!
