Is it illegal to offer a discount for using a companies finance rather than cash? I have been offered a better price for double glazing for taking out a loan but I understood this was not allowed.

No, it's not illegal, a company can reduce an offer, or give a discount based on the fact that they will get a large commission from the finance company for selling their products. The company may give you a 'discount' to use the finance and claim the amount back in the commission they receive. ie, give 鎷?00 off and get it back later. Doing it this way, they keep control of the customers' deal and it and it reduces the chance of customers going eleswhere.
