Is it hard to get loans for school?????

Im at a cc right now Ive never taken any loans out so far paid all my expenses with cash. Well next year i will transfer to a univ. its going to cost approx. 22,000 yr. with the reg loan from the government it only amounts to 10,000 approx. i didnt qualify for financial aid last year cuz my husband makes too much...he only makes 30,000 and i dont work but whatever. so i probably wont get grants if they are all income based. HOw will i get loans to pay the rest if my credit is bad. what do i do?

From what I've heard, you can still get school loans even if your credit isn't perfect as long as you haven't defaulted on school loans previously. Schools will have loan departments that can get you all the information you need to apply for loans. However, it's important to note that if you are turned down for a school loan, they don't shoot you, so you might as well try and go for it. What's the worst thing that could happen? You wind up educated?

BTW, I got school loans when my wife and I were making more than $30k/yr, so you should be OK. First step: apply. Worrying about loans will not get you into school, only that application will!

I don't think they care about credit. We are in a similar situation, but lenders seem all too willing to give you how ever much money you want. I've yet to run into anyone who said, wait, we can't loan you that.

They're just going to jack up your interest rate to something ungodly. Either way, we all get put over a barrell. Try to shop around if you can to find the best deal for interest rates.

Good luck!

Students who are looking for a bad credit student loan should pick three schools they are most interested in, talk to the admissions office, and ask what is needed to apply in their school.A bad credit%26lt;!--student loan is payable only after the student has completed his or her education, and has started earning a certain minimum amount. You can find more information on Student Loan here,

The minimum amount that the candidate of the bad credit student loan is required to earn has also increased. Bad credit student loans are available as both secured and unsecured loans--%26gt;depending on whether you are a homeowner or not. The rate of interest to be paid on unsecured bad credit student loans is higher than that on secured bad credit student loans. This is because the secured bad credit student loans are backed by your home as a security.
